Leo Adamov and Eliot Lawson met 10 years ago at an international festival in Geneva, Switzerland and both enrolled at the Rotterdam Conservatory that Fall. They have been friends and colleagues ever since, but the original idea to form an unaccompanied violin duo came only in the summer of 2008 at the International Music Academy in Dinant, Belgium, where they taught violin together.

January 2010 will mark the debut of the Adamov/Lawson Violin Duo with performances of Belgian/Russian repertoire in New York and Boston. The composers will include de Beriot, Prokofiev, Schnittke, Leclair, and others.
